Programs

The club hosts free public programs, generally held on the third Wednesday of each month in the public room at St. Philip’s Church, 725 Diamond Street @ Elizabeth.

Programs include candidate forums and debates, discussions of ballot initiatives, and talks with leaders in city and state government. They are always lively and include plenty of time for discussion and Q&A.

Recent programs have included:

  • “Budgets, Deficits, National Malaise – History Repeats, or Does It?” with Senator Leland Yee and historian Dr. Dee Andrews.
  • “What’s Up Noe Valley?” with Supervisor Scott Wiener and community leaders Vicki Rosen, Todd David, and Debra Niemann.
  • “Who’s Running for Mayor and Who’s Not?” with city insider and political consultant Eric Jaye.
